If you”ve ever seen a photo series like this before, you must have been dreaming. What artists Riitta Ikonen and Karoline Hjorth came up with for Eyes as Big as Plates is truly strange, but undeniably beautiful.

The series started out as a play on characters from Norwegian folklore, but eventually moved on to “exploring the mental landscape” of people from all over the world. If you don”t know what that means, it”s unlikely that it will make any more sense after you”ve taken a look at some of the photographs, but that won”t take anything away from your appreciation of the pieces.
